One Life Changed...

There was a time in my life when I wasn’t walking into the jail to serve…

I was the one on the inside.

I know what it feels like to sit in that place,
to carry shame, hurt, and uncertainty about what comes next.

But even there… God met me.

Through people who were willing to step in, love me where I was, and remind me that I wasn’t forgotten, everything began to change.

What I thought was the end of my story
became the very place God began rewriting it.

Today, I have the honor of walking back into that same place,
not as the one who is lost… but as someone sent to bring hope.

I now serve as the Female Chaplain and Assistant Director with
Through God Comes Justice Ministries, Inc..

I’ve experienced this ministry from every angle,
from inmate, to volunteer, to Chaplain…

And I can tell you firsthand,
God is doing a mighty work in a very dark place.

Every day, I sit across from women who feel forgotten.

Many of them are exactly where I once was.

And I get to look them in the eyes and remind them:
God sees you. God loves you. And your story is not over.

What happens inside the jail doesn’t stay there.

Lives are being transformed.
Families are being restored.
Hope is being rebuilt.

We serve Within the Walls,
Within the Families,
and Within the Community.

Because incarceration doesn’t just impact one person…
it impacts entire families, especially the children.

As God continues to move, we are seeing the need grow beyond anything we imagined, and He is calling us to step in and walk with Him into these moments.

Because of your support, I’ve gotten to see the Ministry step into new and meaningful ways of reaching families.

Easter Resurrection Jamboree
A day filled with joy, connection, and the message of Jesus for children and families impacted by incarceration

Back-to-School Pool Party
Providing backpacks, shoe vouchers, food, and encouragement to families preparing for a new school year

Christmas Hope
Reaching over 500 children each year with gifts, Bibles, and food boxes for their families during one of the hardest seasons

These are more than events…
they are moments where families feel seen, loved, and not forgotten.

An estimated 5 million children in the United States have had at least one parent incarcerated at some point in their lives.

That number is staggering.

But to us, they are not statistics…
they are names, faces, and stories.

They are the children we hug,
the families we pray with,
and the lives we believe God is restoring.

I’m not just asking you to support a ministry…

I’m asking you to be part of something that changes lives…
because it changed mine!

At a time when people feel like there is nowhere to turn,
God is there.

And through this Ministry…
He is reaching them.
