Ami's NAMI Fundraiser

Mental illness affects every community - including ours here in San Angelo. It touches families, workplaces, schools, faith communities, and friendships. And yet, too often, it is still surrounded by silence, misunderstanding, and stigma.

NAMI San Angelo exists to change that.

We are a local affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families impacted by mental health conditions through education, support, and advocacy. Our mission is simple but powerful: No one should face mental illness alone.

In San Angelo and the surrounding Concho Valley, we provide free support, education and community presentations that help people better understand mental health and find pathways to recovery and hope. Whether it is a parent learning how to support a child, a spouse navigating a new diagnosis, or an individual working toward stability, NAMI offers connection at a time when isolation can feel overwhelming.

We also work to break stigma - in schools, workplaces, faith communities, and public spaces, by encouraging open conversations about mental health. When people share their stories and listen without judgment, lives change. Families heal. Communities grow stronger.

Everything we do is made possible through community support. Donations from San Angelo Gives help us keep our programs free and accessible, train volunteers and facilitators, expand outreach, and ensure that anyone who needs support can find it.

Mental health recovery is real, and hope is possible, but no one gets there alone. With your support, NAMI San Angelo can continue building a community where understanding replaces stigma, compassion replaces silence, and every person knows they are not alone.
