NAMI San Angelo TX

Through mental health support and education, NAMI Texas of San Angelo is dedicated to improving the quality of life of individuals and the families of those living with mental illness, their families, and the community.

NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. NAMI Texas of San Angelo is a new affiliate. Since opening in October, 2019, we have begun hosting support groups, classes, and monthly meetings for people living with mental illness and their families. Monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at MHMR - 1501 W. Beauregard.

I am part of NAMI for so many reasons. The numbers on people affected by mental illness are staggering and the need for education and support are greater than ever. My heart has always been with marginalized groups such as minorities, at-risk youth, the poor, the homeless, the LGBT community, the disabled, etc. Sadly, many of these groups intersect but, thankfully, an organization like NAMI is there to help.
