About the Organization
San Angelo Stock Show provides opportunities for young people to excel in their personal skills & development through a wide array of activities & programs. Working hand in hand with great programs such as 4-H & FFA, youth exhibitors have opportunities to gain invaluable skills such as animal husbandry, time management, responsibility, ownership, & so much more through animal projects ranging from cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, & beyond. Extending out to students that may not have the means to raise an animal project, new programs such as Robotics, Ag Mechanics, Food Challenge, & judging contests help open the gates to more children participating & gaining experiences than ever before. The Creative Arts division allows exhibitors to enter drawings, photographs, Legos, foods, & so many more hand-crafted projects. Each year the Association awards an incredible number of payouts to exhibitors in different divisions in both cash & prizes, but the biggest rewards are through the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Foundation scholarships. Students are chosen from typically over 100 applications & receive from $8,000- $16,000 in scholarships for continuing their education.
