Helping Hands, Meals for the Elderly, of Crockett County, which began in 1983, is an important service to senior citizens in Ozona. Each weekday, employees prepare about 60 meals. Approximately 30 meals are delivered by volunteers to homebound residents and up to 30 residents eat their meal at Crockett County Senior Center. This program receives some funding from state agencies, Crockett County and through all important donations.
