Right now, it is estimated that there are over 600 children in San Angelo who do not have a bed to sleep on. Sleep in Heavenly Peace TX - San Angelo strives to provide beds to children in need. Any child age 3-17 that lives in San Angelo is eligible to receive a bed from SHP. The process in which our beds are made is something that Sleep in Heavenly Peace takes pride in. SHP will host a Build Day in the community in order to build the bed frames. During a Build Day, anyone can come volunteer at one of our numerous stations throughout a Bed Build. Volunteers will be shown by SHP staff on how to chop, sand, drill, assemble and stain the bed frames. By the end of the Build day, we have bed frames that are ready for delivery. Next, we will have a separate Delivery Day. Volunteers will go with an SHP Staff member to the home of a child and assemble the bed frames. We will also provide the child with a new mattress and bedding. At the end of the delivery, the children will have a brand new bed to call their own. SHP's goal is to provide beds to kids while also getting our community involved in the good that we do.
