In 1982, a scholarship endowment was established at Angelo State University for the purpose of providing an annual scholarship to a deserving ASU accounting student. The basic philosophy in 1982, when establishing the scholarship, was to provide financial support for furthering the accounting education and excellence at Angelo State University. Eligibility requirements were established in 1982 and allowed for one scholarship award per year.
The chapter eventually changed the frequency to two scholarships per year (one in the fall and one in the spring). With the change in the frequency of the award, additional corpus was needed to enable the fund to effectively award the two scholarships per year. The fundraiser held with the 2025 San Angelo Gives event helped the chapter fully fund the endowment.
"Thank you to all who generously donated during the 2025 San Angelo Gives event. Your generosity helped TXCPA San Angelo Chapter fund the Accounting Scholarship Endowment Fund Corpus."
The chapter is asking for your support to help maintain the scholarship fund balance. Your donation to this worthwhile cause will help the chapter maintain the corpus needed to continue the frequency of the award and ensure students are able to pursue accounting degrees and prepare for the CPA credential.
