At Concho Valley Turning Point, every meal tells a story.
During San Angelo Gives, we are reminded that behind every plate served is a person who once stood ready to serve our country. Some wore Army caps. Some wore Navy jackets. Some carry memories that are not always visible. Many have faced hard roads after coming home, including homelessness, hunger, loneliness, and the struggle to find a steady path forward.
On this day in San Angelo, volunteers gather with warm food, bottled water, hygiene items, and open hearts. A line forms, but it is more than a line for a meal. It is a line of veterans being seen, welcomed, and honored. Each plate handed out says, “You matter.” Each smile says, “You are not forgotten.” Each act of kindness becomes a small step toward dignity and hope.
Concho Valley Turning Point believes that serving those who served is not just charity. It is a responsibility. Through meals, support, encouragement, and connection to resources, CVTP works to restore lives and rebuild hope for veterans and others in crisis across the Concho Valley.
This San Angelo Gives, your gift helps continue that mission. Your support helps provide food, dignity, and a path forward for homeless veterans in San Angelo, Texas.
Together, we can make sure no veteran is left standing alone. Together, we can serve those who served. Together, we can turn compassion into action.
