San Angelo Gives 2026 Participation
- Confirm that my organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, in compliance and in good standing, as defined in Section 509(a)(1) and/or Section 170(b)(1)(a)(vi) or Section 509(a)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code, or affiliated with a nonprofit organization, or a governmental unit working to lessen the burden of government. A copy of our IRS determination will be provided if requested.
- Confirm that my organization holds as “Certificate of Good Standing” with the Texas Secretary of State.
- Acknowledge that our organization has obtained board approval to be a participating organization in San Angelo Gives.
- Agree to use the promotional messages provided by San Angelo Area Foundation as written.
- Agree to complete the online profile for my organization with accurate information no later than April 1, 2026. San Angelo Area Foundation has final approval in the submitted information and can make any changes to the profile by communicating with us.
- Agree to the rules for San Angelo Gives as posted online under the Rules and FAQs. Acknowledge that the San Angelo Area Foundation has the right to modify these rules as it deems necessary.
- Acknowledge and understand that the San Angelo Area Foundation will issue an electronic gift acknowledgment to each donor stating that their gift is eligible for tax deductions. Donations made through San Angelo Gives may not be for membership fees, tuition payments, dues, etc. or to pay for anything that might be perceived as a material benefit to the donor. Our organization may not conduct a raffle, bingo, or lottery to encourage donations during San Angelo Gives. (Please see IRS Publication 526) It is our organization’s responsibility to be compliant with IRS regulations for charitable deductions and will be responsible to inform our donor if they are unable to deduct their full gift amount. Failure to comply could prevent our organization from participating in San Angelo Gives in future years.
- Agree to be listed on San Angelo Gives website and that the San Angelo Area Foundation will collect donations from the public on our behalf. Acknowledge that all donations will be distributed within 30 days as an unrestricted grant to our organization by the San Angelo Area Foundation.
- Understand that once the check has been issued, it is the responsibility of the organization to return the required check acknowledgement upon receipt. It is the responsibility of the organization to deposit the check in a timely manner. Failure to deposit by 12/31/2026 will result in forfeiture of proceeds, which will be redirected into the San Angelo Gives “amplification fund.”
- Understand the San Angelo Area Foundation does not make any explicit or implicit representation regarding accuracy of the information contained in the profile. Having a profile on the San Angelo Gives website does not constitute any assurance of funding by the San Angelo Area Foundation.
- Acknowledge the San Angelo Area Foundation will share with our organization the list of donors, including addresses, that make a donation benefiting our organization through San Angelo Gives website unless the donor asks to remain anonymous.
- Acknowledge that, in the unlikely event a donor’s credit card donation is “charged back” due to possible fraud, bad credit card, or donor remorse, etc…and if such charge back occurs after the date SAAF has distributed all donations, the charity will refund said net charge-back amount previously granted by the Foundation.
