San Angelo Food Bank
About the Organization
The San Angelo Food Bank is an active member in a larger network of food banks dedicated to fighting food insecurity across Texas (Feeding Texas) and nationally (Feeding America). This collaboration allows us to leverage resources, share best practices, and amplify our impact within the communities we serve. Together, we strive to ensure that no one goes hungry and every individual thrives.
We currently have 3 staff members serving the region: a general manager, a case manager for those needing food and other services, and a food rescue driver who visits all area grocery stores daily to rescue food that is still edible and then delivers the rescued food directly to food pantries at local churches and other nonprofits.
In 2025, we are on course to bring nearly 3,000,000 pounds of fresh produce and household staples to neighbors at risk for hunger. And with only 2% overhead, we bring maximum return to every dollar.
Though affiliated with the San Antonio Food Bank and the regional food banks of Feeding Texas, 100% of donations stay in the greater San Angelo area, going directly to food and supportive services helping local families.
