San Angelo Food Bank

The San Angelo Food Bank is dedicated to fighting hunger and feeding hope across the communities of Tom Green, Irion, Sterling, Concho, and Coke counties in the Concho Valley region.

As an active member of Feeding Texas and Feeding America, we are part of a larger network of food banks working together to combat food insecurity at both the state and national levels. Through these partnerships, we are able to leverage resources, share best practices, and expand our impact—ensuring that more individuals and families receive the support they need to thrive.

Our team currently consists of three dedicated staff members: a general manager, a case manager who connects individuals to food and essential services, and a food rescue driver. Each day, our driver visits local grocery/retail stores to recover safe, edible food that would otherwise go to waste, delivering it directly to food pantries at local churches and nonprofit organizations throughout the region.

In 2026, we are on track to bring in $8 million worth of fresh produce and provide nourishment to nearly 25,000 neighbors facing hunger. In the aftermath of the devastating floods on July 4, 2025, we were able to serve more than 2,400 families over five consecutive Saturdays—an effort made possible by the incredible support of the San Angelo community.

While we are affiliated with the San Antonio Food Bank and regional partners through Feeding Texas, 100% of all donations to the San Angelo Food Bank remain in the greater San Angelo area. These funds go directly toward providing food and supportive services to local families.
