Rainbow Room

A nonprofit organization

The Rainbow Room is an Emergency Resource Room available 24/7 to CPS caseworkers to assist abused and neglected children. It can be within the first 48 hours of coming into Foster care or to help avoid removal from home or any other crises. Children helped have little to nothing. The goal is to minimize their trauma by providing basic needs when they need it the most. This sends the message to the children that they matter and are not alone. It assisted children over 900 times in 2024.

CPS and Foster children helped in the Rainbow Room usually have emotions that range from feeling afraid, lost, sad, unworthy, and even hungry. Items provided to the children are all new and range from diapers, formula, food, clothing, undergarments, shoes, hygiene items, blankets, toys, and snacks for comfort, to pack and play for safe sleeping, among many more. The Rainbow Room is 100% community funded; it is not State funded. It is also volunteer-driven. It covers the 13 counties of the Concho Valley. Because of your continued partnership, the Rainbow Room has been able to provide everything free to the children. Together we are changing the way they remember this time. The Rainbow Room is a non-profit organization maintained by the Greater Concho Valley Community Partners for Children. It seats a Board of volunteers also known as the Rainbow Room Board. They are not State children, they are community children; our children. Please join us in the fight against abuse and neglect of children in our community.

THREE WAYS THAT YOU CAN HELP:
1. Make a monetary donation (all are tax deductible)
2. Donate needed items/ hold an item drive
3. Volunteer your time
