Night To Shine San Angelo

Night to Shine is a one-night prom for people with special needs that is held at the McNease Convention Center.  Calvary Baptist Church has been hosting this event for the last seven years.  In February of this year, we had well over 250 special-needs honored guests attend this prom, ranging in age from 14 to 98.  Each honored guest receives a full night of food, dancing, limousine rides, karaoke, photo ops, and a full red-carpet treatment in an elegantly decorated ballroom. At the end of the night, they are all crowned as kings and queens of the prom.  While they enjoy their night with a buddy, assigned to them for the entire evening, their caregivers are invited to their own time of food and fellowship in the upstairs room of the convention center.  It takes around 400 volunteers to make the night happen, and by the end of the evening, over 700 people are gathered in the ballroom for the crowning ceremony.  This is an incredible evening of showering these wonderful honored guests with an abundannce of love and care.
