The mission of Concho Valley PAWS is to reduce the population of homeless pets in the Concho Valley and end the euthanasia of adoptable animals by offering low-cost spay and neuter programs, high-volume quality adoption and transport programs, and education. 

-Over 2,000 animals were rescued in 2025

-1,580 animals rescued from euthanasia at city's animal shelter

-3,989 cats and dogs were spayed or neutered of that were 904 community cats

-1,122 homeless San Angelo pets were placed in local adoptive homes

-675 homeless San Angelo pets were placed in adoptive homes out of state

-427 pets were prevented from entering the San Angelo Animal Shelter due to shelter diversion programs such as rehoming assistance and crisis assistance

-Adoption success rate exceeded in 2025

We also offer support programs to pets of families that are in crisis such as emergency veterinary assistance and pet food pantry.  

We also offer a program to assist our unhoused neighbors who have pets by providing free spay and neuter services, vaccines and microchips to prepare the animals to enter into transitional, low-cost shelter and housing with their families.
