Our Vision: A world without Alzheimer's and all other dementia đź’ś
Your generosity helps the Alzheimer’s Association be a source of hope for millions of families walking an incredibly difficult journey. Through our FREE 24/7 Helpline, education programs, support groups, and trusted LOCAL resources, the Association ensures that no one has to face Alzheimer’s or other dementias alone. Every dollar raised also fuels critical research aimed at improving quality of life today and creating a world without Alzheimer’s tomorrow. Together, we can bring comfort, understanding, and hope to those who need it most.
Currently, there are approximately 3,400 people in Tom Green County who are affected by Alzheimer's or other dementia. In 2025, your support helped us deliver education to professional and family caregivers, and over 500 families participated in education programs. Thank you!
We invite you to join us again this year at the 2026 Walk To End Alzheimer's event on Saturday, September 26th, at Kirby Park. (1401 Edmund Blvd). With new treatments emerging in the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia, NOW IS THE TIME FOR HOPE. Keep the momentum going in our community at the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's, the world's largest fundraiser to fight the disease. Join us at act.alz.org/sanangelo
The event is a beautiful way for our community to come together and honor all of those walking the journey of Alzheimer's and dementia.
The Alzheimer's Association has provided our family with a large amount of resources and support through our journey with Alzheimer's disease through the 24/7 Helpline, in-person education and support, and community events like the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Because of this support, our family has felt like we have a "plan" in place, and a tremendous weight has been lifted off our shoulders. - Bob C.
The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia - by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
