Concho Valley Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 457

Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) is the only national Vietnam veterans' organization congressionally chartered and exclusively dedicated to Vietnam-era veterans and their families. Our mission is to advocate for veterans' rights and benefits; sustain programs that help veterans adjust to civilian life; and support networks and resources for veterans' physical and mental health.

Concho Valley VVA chapter 457 is responsible for maintaining the Vietnam Veterans' Memorial located at Mathis Field. Maintenance and upkeep of the Memorial includes, but is not limited to: electrical and irrigation repairs; mowing; painting; keeping flags fresh; and general grounds keeping such as tree pruning. We host patriotic ceremonies on Memorial Day and Veterans day to which the public is invited and encouraged to attend. The Memorial hosts visitors from around the region and country. The Memorial is a reflection on the entire community so we like to keep our best foot forward by making the grounds look as good as possible.
