Volunteer Services Council for San Angelo State Supported Living Center

About the Organization

The VSC helps 140 people with Intellectual Disabilities that reside at the SASSLC with items like clothing, shoes, underwear, birthday meals, Christmas gifts and other items they need. The VSC invests in programs that help the residents learn new skills to better prepare them for living in the community. Each year the VSC invests around $45,000 in the residents and on-campus programs such as the workshop, greenhouse and arts programs. Everything the VSC does is to improve the lives of the residents who live at the SSLC.

The VSC is not funded by the state and relies completely on donations to fund projects all over the SASSLC campus.
