The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health (LWBIWH) is a pioneer in women's health and gender medicine that strives to meet the needs of women and their families in the Concho Valley. The organization funds research in gender-based medicine, empowers individuals in the community through fun and educational events, and connects men and women in need with breast cancer services and assistance with treatment.

The Laura W. Bush Institute for Women's Health is committed to improving the lives of women and girls in Texas and beyond by advancing science in women's health. We recognize that health is individualized, and our approach focuses on:
● Scientific investigation that addresses women's health challenges.
● Translating research into real-world applications.
● Providing outreach to create a lasting impact in the community.

Since 2010, the Institute has reached over 300,000 individuals, raised significant funds for research and education, and provided free breast and cervical cancer screenings to 5,700 clients. We've assisted in diagnosing 125 cases of breast cancer and one case of cervical cancer.

In partnership with Angelo State's Archer College of Health and Human Services and the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, the Institute drives research that improves women's health. Shannon is the exclusive healthcare sponsor of the Institute.
