The mission of the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Center for the Concho Valley (ADACCV) is to save lives and create healthier communities. The vision of the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Center for the Concho Valley (ADACCV) is to be an effective and dynamic force in the prevention of human degradation, the loss of human dignity, and the ultimate loss of life caused by substance abuse and addiction in our community.
The Alcohol and Drug Awareness Center for the Concho Valley (ADACCV) has served the Concho Valley and surrounding communities for 65 years and remains the region’s primary provider of prevention, outpatient, detoxification, and residential treatment services for substance use disorders. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving indigent, uninsured, and underinsured individuals, ADACCV ensures that those with limited financial resources have access to medically appropriate and structured treatment services. ADACCV operates a 72-bed licensed facility that includes medical detoxification and residential treatment for adult males and females. The residential program allows women to bring children up to age three into treatment and includes a dedicated childcare area, supporting family preservation while individuals engage in recovery. All inpatient, outpatient, detox, and prevention services operated by ADACCV are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and delivered within an established evidence-based treatment framework.
In FY25, ADACCV served 885 clients across treatment programs, reflecting sustained regional demand for substance use disorder services. Residential completion rates average approximately 67-68 percent, and detox completion exceeds 80 percent, both outperforming national averages.
"I lived at Sara’s House for about 2 years, and it was a huge stepping stone for my recovery. Living there taught me responsibility, accountability, comradery, how to grow relationships and lifelong friendships. The people who work there have been monumental in my recovery showing me how to live this new life I have acquired. It helped me be who I am today: a mom, a sister, a daughter, a friend, an employee, a sponsor, a college student and so much more. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have lived there."
"Through Williams House, ADACCV provided me with a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that allowed me to focus on my recovery. I found the staff to be truly invested in ensuring that the residents were a good fit for the house and were cooperative in fostering a positive environment. While alternative organizations simply provide room and board, Williams House works to maintain a continuation of care, following inpatient treatment, to support a person working to become a healthy and recovered individual that seeks to become fully reintegrated into the community. My heart goes out to all of the people that make this organization the lifesaving endeavor that it is, and I will be forever grateful for the help that they provided me."
"ADACCV helped me in so many ways, and they changed my life and lives of my family. I am active in the Recovery Community now. I go to regular NA meetings, and am active with the ADACCV Alumni group. I share my story with anyone that will listen. Because of ADACCV, my family does not suffer. Because of ADACCV I am alive!"
