As a volunteer at Rust Street Ministries I have encountered a wide variety of people since I am an interviewer. One thing they all have in common is a need for prayer. One day I meet a man who was in his early 50's who was very poor. He had no job and his main concern was for his daughter since they had little food and no air conditioning. Fortunately, we had a floor fan for him and food as well. I felt so bad for him since it was quite obvious that he loved his daughter very much and wanted her to be somewhat comfortable while studying and sleeping. I thought to myself, how I would feel if I was so poor that I could not provide for my daughters needs and I wanted her to succeed at life. It must have been very difficult for her at school since she wore second had clothes. I prayed for him and his daughter and I do hope our Father in Heaven heard my sincere prayer for them. Anyway, thanks to our Lord God for Rust Street Ministries.

Rust Street Ministries is a community outreach of the Johnson Street Church of Christ, providing help with basic life needs at no charge to those living in the San Angelo area.
