ASU Cat Coalition
Benefiting Angelo State University Foundation, Inc.
Created by Kristin Stanley

Fundraiser Story
Founded in 2012, the coalition is run by ASU faculty and staff volunteers and is funded by private donations in order to reduce, stabilize and maintain a healthy cat population. In 2016, the ASU Cat Coalition became an official organization under the ASU Foundation.
Through spay/neuter, adoption, and attrition, the coalition has humanely reduced the cat population on campus by 90 percent preventing over 64 litters and subsequent litters since 2012.
The ASU Cat Coalition has provided care for 292 cats including spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, FIV/Feluk tests, antibiotics, parasite prevention, and other required medical procedures. Through the Cat Coalition's partner, Critter Shack Rescue, the coalition has provided vet care and helped 198 kittens and cats that were abandoned on campus find loving, forever homes.
