Bishop Street Recovery Ranch, Inc

A nonprofit organization

This Ministry began in October 2014 in a two-bedroom house on Bishop Street. The Director, Bryan Pilgrim, was addicted to drugs for many of his 47 years of life. He was set free from addiction to drugs when he was introduced to the love of Jesus Christ in a jail cell. This journey has not always been an easy one when temptation is around every corner and the media offers immediate access to so much evil. As a result of his past struggles and the freedom he experiences today through the love of Christ, he desires to share that with any man who is plagued by the multitude of worldly addictions out there today.
This Ministry was birthed with a mere $50.00 in his pocket, a cell phone (with the bill), and a house rented for $1,200.00 a month. Four men came with him the day he opened the doors of Bishop Street. No food or furniture, no bedding or toiletries, no pans nor dishes; just the bare shell of a house filled with the hope and love of Jesus Christ and the determination of a man who had experienced deliverance. Within days of occupancy, the house had furniture, not trash, but nice furniture, and the cupboards were full of food. It was amazing to watch God supply every need!

Testimonials

I have a personal experience with Bishop Street Recovery Ranch, my step son Joseph was blessed to have stayed at the Ranch. I had the opportunity to visit the Ranch and it is an amazing place for men to focus on Jesus and recovery. I often spread the work to those men in need of finding Jesus to help them through recovery, Jesus is the only program they need for sobriety. I love that Bishop Street Recovery Ranch is a part of our community and we support it completely. Saving lives through Jesus - Tony G

This short note letter I’m writing is about how I’m so grateful about this recovery program. First of all I wanted to thank our Heavenly Father for walking me through. This wonderfully helped me out so, so much. I really want to thank Mr. Word, which is our president, for all his support, and our director Mr Pilgrim and Julie his lovely wife. They really treated myself here as very friendly, the hospitality they have in them. I thank God for all this wonderful things that are happening in this ministry. This is my first time to be around this kind of program, and it really helps me out by learning how to change my life. Thank you. Glen Sigrah God Bless Y’all…Amen…

BSSR has been so good to me and for me. In my short time here, so far I’ve been taught so many valuable life lessons. Lessons that I now can use in my everyday battle. All of the lessons are faith backed with God being the ultimate teacher. Being here on the ranch really has been the most valuable choice I could have made. BSSR is an opportunity, like no other, an opportunity to get closer and with yourself but most importantly with the Lord. BSSR is a place of growth, faith, and healing. Yes, the program can be difficult at times, but the environment here really has a brother’s back. This place, Ranch, is full with the Spirit of the Lord. His hands are at constant work to fulfill the lives of the lost that come. This place, BSSR, has become part of my testimony and I will be sure to spread the word of such place. I am forever grateful for a place like this to exist in such a dark world. I cannot explain enough how special and blessed this Ranch is. This Ranch has been a huge part in this turning point in my life, and again I will be forever thankful. Tino Juandiego lll

I am profoundly grateful for Bishop St. Recovery Ranch because it has provided me a safe, structured, and spiritually nurturing environment that feels like a true home. It has allowed me to break free from the isolation of addiction, replacing loneliness with a loving, compassionate community that encourages personal growth and accountability. By focusing on God-centered principals and healing, I have been empowered to rebuild my life, develop lasting sobriety, and discover a renewed sense of purpose and hope. Thank you so very much,Kelly R Savell

I am thankful and much grateful for the hospitality and how great the people are at this place, not only just because they help open up their arms to people that are in need of recovery. Like help get you into the Lord and help get you back leveled out and help get you back on your feet and a straight path before you get back to your family. So this is a great place. They help us get a job and we graduate from the program.
