We are a loving church where the Spirit of the Lord is in control. We aren't perfect, but we serve a perfect God who is perfecting us daily. We welcome all to join us as we are growing in God, you can also grow together with us!
A church where love is contagious!
St. Paul Baptist Church has been a steadfast pillar of service and community investment since 1896. For well over a century, we have consistently committed our time, financial resources, and collective effort to improving the quality of life for individuals and families within our community, with a particular focus on underserved populations.
Our church actively engages in a wide range of community outreach and volunteer services designed to address both immediate needs and long-term community stabilization. These efforts include assisting at the Soup Kitchen, volunteering at Meals for the Elderly, and hosting an Annual Church Blood Drive to support public health initiatives and give the gift of lifeb. This year will be our 4th year in progress. In addition, we collaborate with neighboring churches to support community Health Fairs and partner with the NAACP to facilitate voter registration, promoting civic engagement and empowerment.
St. Paul Baptist Church also partners with organizations such as Rush Street Ministries to expand our reach and deepen our impact. Through these partnerships, we are able to provide comprehensive programming and services that address critical social, educational, and health-related needs.
Among our core initiatives is the Summer Youth Enrichment Program, held annually, which focuses on literacy development also known as Vacation Bible School, it gives access to nutritious meals, and leadership training for youth primarily from underserved communities. This program also incorporates hospitality training and community service engagement to foster responsibility, character development, and a strong sense of civic duty. Additionally, we host designated community service days throughout the year to address specific needs and promote neighborhood stability.
We regularly convene community gatherings that provide meals while emphasizing violence prevention, mentorship, and the promotion of safe environments and healthy relationships also know as our youth gatherings. On a monthly basis, we facilitate separate support gatherings for women and men which is our Mission and Brotherhood, offering mental health support and wellness resources for some underserved individuals and others in need within the community.
Our outreach further extends to providing housing and utility assistance, ensuring families can maintain stability during times of hardship. Annually, we conduct educational equity outreach initiatives prior to the start of the school year to support students and families with essential resources which is our back to school give away. Youth development programming is also offered every Saturday to encourage consistent engagement, growth, and positive social development.
For senior citizens, St. Paul Baptist Church provides aging support services, food access for vulnerable individuals, and non-emergency medical transportation services through our transportation ministry. We recognize that our role extends beyond worship; we are an integral partner in the overall health, stability, and success of our community.
St. Paul Baptist Church remains committed to stewarding its resources responsibly and compassionately, and we will continue to serve as a trusted and active force for positive change within our community
