First Responders Scholarship Fund

The First Responder Scholarship Fund was established in 2021 by the Babiash Family with the opening of Old Central Firehouse, rooted in a deep appreciation for those who serve and protect our community. What began as a heartfelt idea has grown into a lasting commitment to support the families behind the uniform.

With strong ties to the first responder community, our family understands the sacrifices made every day by EMTs, peace officers, and firefighters, and by their loved ones. This scholarship is our way of giving back, honoring that service by investing in the future of their children.

Awarded to dependents of active or retired first responders in Tom Green County, our goal is simple: to help students across the Concho Valley pursue higher education and the opportunities it brings.

We are proud to play a small part in supporting the next generation of these remarkable families.
