Who We Are

Christians In Action (CIA) is a faith-based, Executive board-run, nonprofit organization located in San Angelo, Texas, dedicated to meeting the physical, financial, and spiritual needs of individuals and families throughout the Concho Valley. Since our founding in 1982, we have worked hand-in-hand with local churches, community partners, and compassionate volunteers to bring relief, encouragement, and hope to those in crisis.

The CIA Thrift Store is one of the largest in San Angelo. Every donated item—from clothes and furniture to books and household goods—helps fund our outreach programs. When you shop, donate, or volunteer at the thrift store, you are directly supporting our mission to care for neighbors in need. We serve without judgment, without hesitation, and with open hearts.

• Practical Help=We offer assistance and other essential needs to prevent homelessness, hunger, or unsafe living conditions.
• Material Support-Through our thrift store, we provide affordable clothing, furniture, and household items, while offering free goods to families in crisis.
• Spiritual Encouragement-We partner with local churches to offer prayer, counseling, and discipleship, helping those in need experience God’s love in real and meaningful ways.
• Utility Assistance- When funds are available we can assist in paying a utility bill every six months.

Our History

Christians In Action began as a small group of local churches uniting to address the growing needs of struggling families in San Angelo. What started as a simple outreach effort has grown into a trusted community resource serving thousands of neighbors every year. For over four decades, CIA has remained faithful to its calling: to be a light in the darkness, a source of hope, and a helping hand to anyone who needs it.
